"Pay Now, Buy Later, Tout Doit Disparaître. Depuis 2005, Arnaud Cohen procède à une critique acerbe et engagée à l’encontre du monde de l’art. Les deux œuvres néons exposées dans les vitrines de la galerie témoignent du caractère souvent superficiel et mercantile du marché de l’art qui met en avant la forme au détriment du fond. Le choix du néon correspond également à une critique de la surutilisation du medium par les artistes actuels. En vitrine, ils renvoient à la sphère commerciale (typographies et couleurs séduisantes) d’où sont eux-mêmes extraits les slogans poussant à une consommation aveugle et dévorante."

Since 2005, Arnaud Cohen undertakes a harsh and committed review of the art world. The two neon works exhibited in the gallery’s windows are here to demonstrate how superficial and mercantile the art world often is, Choosing neon is also a way to criticize this overused medium by contemporary artists nowadays. Set in the windows of the gallery, the colorful mottos send back to the advertising sphere, encouraging consumer spending.
