La patte d’éléphant utilisée comme porte parapluie a été longtemps un attribut de la demeure coloniale britannique ou française. Ici l’artiste, en tranchant horizontalement une bouteille géante de Coca-cola ongulée, en lui donnant les couleurs d’une main de femme et en y plaçant un balais à la place d’un parapluie évoque la situation poste coloniale des femmes occidentales. "Woman is the niger of the world" disait John Lennon. 40 ans plus tard, c’est toujours aussi exact.

The elephant leg used as an umbrella stand was for a long time an attribute of the British of the French colonial house.Here, the artist, by cutting horizontally a giant ungulate Coca-Cola bottle, calls to mind the post-colonial situation and his dashed hopes.
