D’après le titre du roman de Philip K. Dick "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep ?", le roman ayant inspiré le film "Blade Runner". Cette série associe la pratique actuelle des captchas, ces textes lisibles et reproductibles uniquement un humain, à l’idée développée par les auteurs de science-fiction que le cerveau artificiel supplantera très rapidement celuide l’homme. L’acier brossé, utilisé pour la première fois par Aram Bartold pour matérialiser un captcha ordinaire, renforce encore ici le sentiment d’inversion.
Works from the « Dream mottos for Electric Sheep » series
(From the Philip K Dick’s novel that inspired the Blade Runner movie, « Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep ? ») This series of works is binding together both the captcha script used to produce texts that can only be read by humans, and the sci-fi novelists’ idea that it won’t be long before the artificial brain gets smarter than the human one.
